Choosing products for your skin should feel as considered as selecting a tailor or a therapist. We have compiled some of the questions we hear most often to help you feel confident before your first ritual arrives.
How do I know which Lumière Rituals products are right for my skin?
Every order begins with a short digital consultation that asks about your skin history, current routine, climate, and lifestyle. Our estheticians review your responses and tailor a simple, focused ritual using our core range. You will also receive guidance on how to layer with the products you already own so that nothing goes to waste.
Are your products suitable for sensitive or reactive skin?
Yes. Many of our clients come to us after experiencing irritation from aggressive active-heavy routines. We prioritize barrier support with ingredients like ceramides, cholesterol, and oat-derived compounds, and we avoid common triggers such as harsh drying alcohols or heavy synthetic fragrance. For deeply sensitive skin, we provide a phased application plan to slowly introduce actives.
Do you test on animals or work with suppliers who do?
Lumière Rituals is 100% cruelty-free. We do not test finished products or raw materials on animals, nor do we work with suppliers who engage in animal testing. Our global compliance team continuously reviews regulatory changes so that we can maintain our standards as we expand into new regions.
What does “science-backed” mean for Lumière Rituals?
For us, science-backed means that every key ingredient serves a defined purpose and is supported by either peer-reviewed data, robust in-vitro testing, or well-designed clinical trials. We never rely on trendy percentages or buzzwords alone. Our internal research team evaluates the quality of each study and designs formulas that respect realistic usage and cumulative exposure.
Are your formulas vegan and pregnancy-friendly?
Most of our collection is vegan, with the exception of select products that use ethically sourced beeswax for texture and barrier support. Each product page clearly indicates whether it is vegan and pregnancy-friendly, and our concierge team can provide personalized recommendations in partnership with your healthcare provider's guidance.
How sustainable are your packaging choices?
We prioritize glass vessels with refill systems wherever stability allows and use mono-material pumps to improve recyclability. Cartons are made from FSC-certified paper and printed with vegetable-based inks, while shipping materials are plastic-free. Our design philosophy is to create objects you will want to keep on display, not discard after a single use.
